Rimorchiatori Riuniti has been operating tugboats in the port of Genoa since 1922. Essential to the harbour’s life, its vessels not only moor arriving ships and escort them back out to the open sea, but they also assist in case of fire, oil spills or whatever other occurrence might endanger the port’s safety. In almost 100 years of history, the Rimorchatori Riuniti group has expended its activities to oil platforms support, pollution control and deep sea towage world wide.
Since 1922 Rimorchiatori Riuniti has been operating tugboats in the waters of the commercial harbour of Genoa.
From its headquarter the group has progressively spread its fleet to other ports, both in Italy and abroad, expanding the scope of its activities.
Today, the group is the Mediterranean leader of harbor towage services. In addition, over the years Rimorchiatori Riuniti has developed business in the international shipping in dry cargo and in the offshore sectors, representing still today the two other main businesses of the group.
The powerful fleet which is constantly steering throughout the waters of commercial harbours, towing and help mooring ships on arrival, as well as escort them out to the open sea, no matter what weather conditions are.
The backbone of the Group, with a fleet of over 180 units employed in different ports in the Mediterranean and Internationals areas.
The offshore business has been started as a natural development of the harbour towage operations. The Group boasts a long experience in the offshore sector, and is present in all the main market of the industry as Brazil, North Sea, Mediterranean Sea and West Africa.
The modern fleet of AHTS is tailored for all offshore assistance duties — anchor handling, towing, supplying, oil spill response and is able to perform its duties up to the new frontier of the ultradeep water.
